Eddie Kalel has spent the last 12 years working in the insurance industry. After graduating from the USC Marshall School of Business, he spent the next 6 years counseling and showing clients how simply having the right insurance policy can dramatically protect their wealth. He worked closely with Electronic Arts (EA), Deloitte & Touché, and the USC & UCLA Alumni Association through Liberty Mutual’s Affinity and Group Savings Plus program. He spent the better part of the next decade as a State Farm agent, owning an agency in California then in Arizona. Having inherited a book of business comprised of most retired and elderly clients, he spent a tremendous amount of time advising clients on all aspects of their finances: saving, debt-management, and retirement planning. Armed with his Series 6 & 63 license, he worked closely with clients on retirement planning through acquisition of tax-sheltered Annuities, Mutual Funds, and 401k/IRA’s Rollovers.
Eddie grew up in Los Angeles and roots hard for his Dodgers and Lakers and enjoys going back home to watch his Trojans play. He’s divorced and the proud father of 3 wonderful kids.
Tony Varela has been partnering with CEOs, executives and solopreneurs to better protect their businesses for the last 3 years. After spending nearly a decade working B2B and B2C in online and technical support with Centurylink,, he’s been devoted to working first hand with startups. We know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and Tony works with modalities to cater each policy to meet a customers needs while always staying within budget. His experience leading a team has allowed him to successfully work and collaborate across multiple channels to provide new insights to peers and organizational leaders.
Tony grew up in Arizona and graduated from Phoenix College in their Labor and Management program. He’s happily married with 3 great boys and enjoys spending every free weekend either coaching baseball or volunteering in the community.
